Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-03-31
These terms govern your use of the Project Caduceus platform operated by Doc On Call Consultas ao Domicilio ("Doc On Call", "we", "us"). By using our service, you agree to these terms.
1. Service Description
Doc On Call operates a technology platform that connects patients with independent medical professionals for home visits and video consultations. Doc On Call is a technology intermediary — we facilitate the connection between you and a doctor, but we do not provide medical services. The doctors are independently responsible for all clinical decisions, diagnoses, and treatments.
2. How the Service Works
When you use our service:
- You fill in a consultation request form with your details and symptoms
- Our system matches you with an available doctor based on your location and preferred time
- The doctor accepts or declines the request
- You pay the consultation fee after a doctor accepts
- The doctor visits your location (in-person) or joins a video call (video consultation)
3. Payment Terms
Consultation fees are displayed before you submit your request. Payment is required after a doctor accepts your consultation and must be completed within 30 minutes. If payment is not completed within this window, the consultation is cancelled and the doctor is released. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
4. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your consultation at any time before completing payment. Once payment is confirmed, cancellation and refund requests must be directed to Doc On Call support at maria@mydoconcall.com. Refund eligibility is determined by Doc On Call on a case-by-case basis.
5. Video Consultation Disclaimer
Video consultations depend on the quality of your internet connection. Doc On Call does not guarantee uninterrupted video quality. If the video connection is insufficient for a proper consultation, the doctor or patient may request to reschedule or convert to an in-person visit. Video consultations are not recorded.
6. Medical Disclaimer
Doc On Call is not a healthcare provider. We do not employ the doctors on our platform, and we are not responsible for any medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment provided during consultations. In case of a medical emergency, call 112 (European emergency number) immediately.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Doc On Call shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages related to the medical consultation itself, technical failures during video calls, or delays in doctor availability.
8. Your Data
Your use of our service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to the data practices described therein. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information in the consultation form
- Use the service for purposes other than seeking legitimate medical consultation
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
